Legal notices

Transparency and respect for your data. Here you'll find all information on how we handle the information you share with us and how to exercise your rights.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 17, 2026

Sapere Plus respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data you share with us. This privacy policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have regarding your information.

1. Data Controller

The data controller is Sapere Plus, based in Rieti, Italy. You can contact us at: privacy@sapereplus.it.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only the data necessary to provide our editorial services and to evaluate your collaboration proposals:

  • Identification data: name, surname, and email address that you provide when submitting a proposal through the "Propose a Story" form.
  • Proposal content: title, description, location, notes, and any other information you choose to include in the form.
  • Navigation data: IP address, browser type, visited pages, collected through essential technical cookies (see Cookie Policy).

We do not collect sensitive data (GDPR Article 9) or payment data, as the site does not involve commercial transactions.

3. Why We Use Your Data

  • Editorial proposal management: to evaluate your idea, contact you about it, and if accepted, develop the project.
  • Service communications: to respond to your requests or send you updates directly related to your proposal.
  • Site improvement: aggregated and anonymous analysis of visits to optimize content (through anonymized analytics cookies).

We do not use your data for marketing purposes or share it with third parties for commercial purposes.

4. Legal Basis for Data Processing

The processing of your data is based on:

  • Execution of pre-contractual measures: evaluating your proposal is a necessary activity before a potential collaboration.
  • Consent: for non-essential cookies (analytics), consent is requested via banner.
  • Legitimate interest: to ensure site security and for aggregated statistical analysis.

5. Data Retention

We retain proposal data for a maximum period of 24 months from the last interaction, to be able to pursue potential future collaborations. Navigation data is deleted after 14 months. After these periods, data is anonymized or securely deleted.

6. Your Rights

At any time, you can exercise the following rights:

  • Access: know what data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure: obtain deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Restriction: request a limitation of processing.
  • Portability: receive your data in a structured format.
  • Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interest.

To exercise your rights, write to privacy@sapereplus.it. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority.

7. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated periodically. The date of the last modification is indicated at the top. We invite you to consult it regularly.

Cookie Policy

Sapere Plus uses cookies and similar technologies to ensure the proper functioning of the site and to anonymously analyze browsing behavior.

What are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that websites save on your device while you browse. They serve to remember your preferences, keep your session active, and collect aggregated statistics.

Essential Technical Cookies

We use only essential session technical cookies necessary for:

  • Maintaining your preference between light and dark theme.
  • Managing page navigation and submission of the proposal form.

These cookies do not require your consent and are deleted when you close your browser.

Analytics Cookies (Optional)

The site uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-respecting web analytics service that does not use persistent tracking cookies and anonymizes your IP address. The collected data is aggregated and does not allow personal identification. We do not share this information with third parties.

Since Plausible does not use profiling cookies, a consent banner is not necessary for these cookies. You can still opt out of tracking by enabling the "Do Not Track" setting in your browser.

How to Disable Cookies

You can manage cookie preferences directly from your browser settings. Below are links to guides for the most common browsers:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Safari
  • Microsoft Edge

Please note that disabling technical cookies may compromise your experience on the site.

Data Deletion

Sapere Plus does not require the creation of personal accounts with reserved areas. However, if you have submitted a proposal through the "Propose a Story" form, your personal data (name, email) and the content of your proposal are stored in our systems.

How to Request Deletion

You can request at any time the complete deletion of your personal data and submitted proposal. To do this:

  1. Send an email to privacy@sapereplus.it with subject: "Data Deletion – [your name]".
  2. In the body of the email, specify the email address you used to submit the proposal and, if you remember it, the title of the proposal.
  3. We will respond within 7 business days to confirm the deletion.

Your data will be permanently removed from our databases and backups within 30 days.

If you simply prefer not to receive further communications from us, you can request this in the same email; we will proceed to delete your contact data while maintaining the proposal in anonymous form for internal statistical purposes only.

For any questions about our policies, write to us at privacy@sapereplus.it.
